Privacy
The short version: Polisher works on your Mac. Out of the box, the text you select is processed there and sent nowhere. This website sets no cookies and has no tracking.
Who is responsible
Marcin Hlybin, who makes Polisher as part of Itch Scratched, reachable at marcin@itchscratched.com. Write to that address about anything on this page.
The app
- By default, Polisher uses a language model that runs on your Mac. The text you select is processed there and is not sent anywhere: not to us, not to anyone else. It works offline.
- If you add an API key (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter or Gemini), or choose Claude Code or Codex instead, the text you select is sent to that provider so it can do the work. What happens to it there is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy. Polisher uses a cloud provider only if you set one up yourself.
- There is no account, so the app does not ask for your name or email address.
This website
- No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, and nothing stored in your browser. If that changes, this page will say what is collected and why.
- The typo hunt runs in your browser. The mistakes you fix are forgotten when you leave the page, and “Copy link” only puts a link on your clipboard.
- Like any website, the server that delivers these pages sees your IP address in order to send them to you.
- The fonts come from this website too, so your browser connects to nobody else.
